Food and drink on board

We offer complementary food and drink – served at your seat – for passengers travelling in First Class, and a selection of food from the buffet bar for passengers travelling in Standard Class.

Both are available for the entire journey and, subject to availability, you can have food from any of three menus (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at any time of the day.

Our on board stewards

Our stewards will serve you food and drink throughout your journey. They are qualified in food hygiene and safety.

The senior steward serves food and drink to our first class passengers, at their seats

The steward serves food and drink from the buffet car. They will also make sure the train is clean and tidy and any passengers who find it difficult to navigate a moving train have got everything they need.

Complementary in First Class

Our mouthwatering breakfasts and two course meals are served at your seat in First Class by our senior stewards, and are included in your ticket price. Orange juice, water, tea and coffee are also yours with our compliments.

We’ve got a great menu of wines and other alcoholic drinks if you’re relaxing on the way home or it’s a special occasion. And you can add a third course to your meal for a small charge.

We want your dining experience to be a memorable part of your journey. China, cutlery, glass and linen napkins all complete the effect – there’s no plastic in First Class!

Whatever the time of day, you can have anything from the menu subject to availability. Menus are rotated regularly so you won’t find the same menu every time you travel with us.

Standard class food and drink

The buffet is located between First and Standard Class in Coach A and is open throughout the entire journey.

We’ll serve you a great range of hot and cold food, tea and coffee, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks.

Our hot food includes sandwiches from the panini grill, and soups.
