Wrexham & Shropshire’s Open tickets offer you complete flexibility with your travel arrangements – travel on any train, on any day.

Unlike Advance or Saver tickets, Opens don’t restrict you to travelling on a particular train on the day.
Open tickets are available as both singles and returns. Return portions are valid for a calendar month, so it doesn't even restrict you to coming back on a particular day – perfect when you might want to make that last minute decision to stay somewhere for an extra day!
Although not compulsory, reservations are available free of charge, and can be booked online at the same time as booking your ticket. If you book a reservation for a particular train, then realise you're going to travel on a different train, please do let us know though, so we can release the seat for another passenger.
You can use your Railcards when buying Open tickets – saving you up to 1/3 off the price.
If you want to change or cancel your Open ticket, that’s no problem, providing you do it by 12.00 on the business day before you plan to travel, by calling Customer Services on 0845 260 5233.
Remember, Open tickets are valid only on Wrexham & Shropshire trains – they can’t be used onother operators’ trains.
