Wrexham & Shropshire’s Saver tickets combine value for money with flexibility.

A Saver ticket is valid on any off-peak train, which means:
On Weekdays
- Every train to London arriving after 1100
- Trains leaving London between 0915 and 1600 and after 1800
At the Weekend or Bank Holidays
- Every train
Unlike Advance tickets, Savers don’t restrict you to travelling on a particular train on the day, provided you comply with the above restrictions.
If you want complete flexibility, allowing you to travel on any train on any day, then you should take a look at our Open tickets.
Savers are available as both singles and returns. The return portion of a Saver is valid for a calendar month, so it doesn’t even restrict you to coming back on a particular day – perfect when you might want to make that last minute decision to stay somewhere for an extra day!
Reservations are also available if you want the security of knowing you’ve got a seat. They can be booked at the same time you book your ticket, or afterwards by calling our Customer Services. There’s no charge for making a reservation. If you book a reservation for a particular train, then realise you’re going to travel on a different train, please contact us, so we can release the seat for someone else.
Even though they’re already excellent value, you can still use your railcard with our Saver tickets – saving you up to 1/3 off the price (and more with a family railcard).
If you want to change or cancel your Saver ticket, that’s no problem, providing you do it by 12.00 on the business day before you plan to travel, by calling Customer Services on 0845 260 5233.
Remember, our Saver tickets are valid only on Wrexham & Shropshire trains – they’re can’t be used on other operators’ trains.
